Thermal overload protection device

DAL-4 is the tool for the thermal control of the windings of MV transformers in resin, electric generators, motors, inductors. It is completely programmable from the keyboard and remotely via a serial interface.

It detects the temperature from Pt100 3-wire probes, displays the values on the alphanumeric display and signals with messages and LEDs the activation of the relay outputs corresponding to the exceeding of the respective Set Points of: pre-alarm, trip, ventilation. The relay outputs can be timed, with voltage-free change-over contact, the fault or fault signal contact is intrinsically safe. DAL-4 can be expanded with: 4-20mA proportional output to signal, at a distance, the highest temperature detected and RS23 or RS485 isolated serial interface with Modbus® Rtu protocol.

Wide supply voltage range, from 20Vdc to 260Vac, operating temperature 0 ° C to 50 ° C, insulated probe inputs and outputs, electrical connections with disconnectable terminals to facilitate wiring.

Fitted in 1/4 din container for panel mounting, IP54 or IP65 protection, also available in tropicalized version for particularly humid environments.

 

There are 2 specific basic versions available:

  • 4 Pt100 inputs and 4 relay outputs, for the thermal protection of transformers (winding temperature + core or environment)

  • 6 Pt100 inputs and 5 relay outputs, for the thermal protection of motors and alternators (winding temperature + core or ambient + 2 bearings with individually programmable set points)
